The most popular tapa or appetizer in the Region of Murcia., having several denominations “Salchicha Seca” (Dry Sausage), “Salchicha de pellizco” (Pinch Sausage), “Salchicha de Pascua” (Easter Sausage) or "Longaniceta"
Curiously, it has the name of Pinch Sausage " because it is usually pinched or broken by hand, without the need of cutting with a knife.
It is very common that it remains hanging somewhere in the kitchens or pantries. It is typical that anyone passing by will pinch a small portion and eat it.
